Knowledge Base Documentation
Train your AI Assisters with your own data. Upload documents, build knowledge bases, and create intelligent assistants that understand your content.
What is a Knowledge Base?
A knowledge base is a collection of documents, files, and content that you upload to train your AI Assister. Your Assister uses this information to answer questions, provide recommendations, and assist users with accurate, contextual responses.
Think of it as giving your AI a library of information to reference when helping users. The more relevant and well-organized your knowledge base, the more helpful your Assister becomes.
How It Works
Build a knowledge base in four simple steps
Supported File Types
- • PDF (.pdf)
- • Word (.doc, .docx)
- • Plain text (.txt)
- • Markdown (.md)
- • Rich text (.rtf)
- • Excel (.xlsx, .xls)
- • CSV (.csv)
- • Google Sheets (via export)
- • JSON (.json)
Best Practices
• Break large documents into focused, topic-specific files
• Use clear, descriptive filenames
• Remove duplicate or outdated information
• Keep related content together
• Use clear headings and structure
• Write in complete sentences
• Define technical terms and acronyms
• Include examples and context
• Regularly update your knowledge base
• Remove outdated information
• Add new content as your business evolves
• Monitor which topics users ask about most
Pricing & Limits
Knowledge base pricing is based on the amount of content you upload, measured in tokens. Each subscription tier includes a generous monthly allowance:
- Free: 100,000 tokens (~75,000 words)
- Plus: 1 million tokens (~750,000 words)
- Pro: 5 million tokens (~3.75 million words)
- Max: 20 million tokens (~15 million words)
Additional training tokens can be purchased as needed. Once trained, your knowledge base incurs no ongoing costs—you only pay for user queries and responses.
